CPP for Local Government Units
Welcome to this e-learning Course on developing localized Child Protection Policies for Local Government Units (CPP for LGUs). The course was developed by Stairway Foundation, and is offered to the public for FREE in cooperation with the Child Protection Network and UNICEF.
Who is this course for?
This course is intended for Local Government Unit employees, especially those tasked to develop CPPs for their LGUs, as well as NGOs/CSOs working directly with LGUs and are in a position to influence their partner LGUs to develop a CPP.
How is the course delivered?
The course is fully asynchronous, and thus, you can take the lessons at anytime depending in your availability. The course contains 2 hours worth of video lessons, broken down into smaller videos all throughout the various sections of the course. There are also downloadable resources and worksheets that will serve as the basis for elaborating the CPP. If you are taking the course with co-members of your organization, we recommend that you complete the worksheets as a group.
Objectives
At the end of the course, participants are expected to have;
- Understood the concept of a child protection policy in the context of LGUs.
- Developed the capabilities to draft a child protection policy suited for the context of their own LGUs.
