DepEd LRPD-Stairway Child Protection e-learning course

What is the course about?
This course is specifically designed for educators to help them develop a deeper understanding of the various child protection concerns that learners may face, both offline and online. Developed by the DepEd Learner Rights and Protection Division and Stairway Foundation, the course aims to equip educators with the knowledge, tools, and practical guidance needed to take a more active role in protecting the learners they work with.
This is a non-CPD course. However, participants who complete the course will receive a certificate, which may be used as supporting evidence for IPCRF and/or promotion purposes, subject to applicable DepEd or institutional guidelines.
How is the course delivered?
The course is fully asynchronous. This means that participants may take the lessons at their own pace and according to their availability within the course duration.
The course includes short video lessons, interactive content, and resource links. Participants are encouraged to maximize the course duration provided and complete all required activities on time.
Objectives of the Course
At the end of the course, participants are expected to:
- Identify various offline and online child protection concerns that learners may encounter.
- Recognize the different ways these child protection concerns may be perpetrated.
- Understand key messages that can be integrated into child protection education.
- Distinguish which DepEd policies and protocols should be applied to specific child protection concerns.
- Be introduced to various DepEd initiatives related to child protection.
Important Course Reminders
Course duration: May 21 to June 21, 2026
Participants are expected to complete the final course activity, the Course Evaluation, on or before the end of the course duration.
The final course activity will automatically close on June 21, 2026. There will be no course duration extensions.
Participants are prohibited from allowing other individuals to use their e-learning account for any purpose. Doing so is a violation of the terms of use for this course.
