Awareness plays a key role in implementing prevention programs. Children who know that they have rights, who are well informed about inappropriate touch, who are taught to trust their feelings about situations and people, and who know where to get help if needed, are less likely to be victims of any type of sexual abuse. In this module, you will be introduced to the concepts of children’s rights and child sexual abuse.
