The Convention on the Rights of the Child
The Convention on the Rights of the Child protects children’s rights by setting standards in health care; education; and legal, civil and social services. The Convention has been ratified by 195 out of 197 countries, making it the most widely ratified
international human rights treaty in history.
Hundreds of millions of children around the world
There are hundreds of millions of children around the world who do not enjoy the rights set out in the CRC. Many of these children are forced to work as laborers and as sex workers where they are economically and sexually exploited and or/physically abused.
Adults must stand up and protect children from all forms of abuse and exploitation. Break the Silence!
