Jasmine and Justin are in a romantic relationship. They start to share intimate images of one another through technology. One day, Justin receives an image of Jasmine kissing another guy. Upset and pressured by his friends to “do something,” Justin "gets back" at Jasmine by threatening to post her nudes online. In a twist of fate, Justin, who distributed Jasmine’s intimate photos without consent, falls victim to sextortion, which also causes his images to be released online.

In this course, you will learn about the risks, harms, and possible consequences of sextortion, as well as strategies for protecting yourself and others from it. The global data shows that this is a growing problem that affects people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. We will also explore the issue of non-consensual sharing of intimate images, including its possible legal implications and ways to seek help if you or someone you know has been a victim. This module is designed to provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to stay safe and make informed decisions in today's digital world.
